Currently you’re visiting Jerim Dickins - Willowpiggy from Crewe, UK Hello there! You can continue hopping my using the previous and next buttons at the end of this post. Now, let’s scroll down to see what I’ve been making.
It's my first time to join this lovely 2016 – 2017 Blog Hop Week 3, So honored to be part of this hop!At the moment I'm really into water colour effects, so I've been looking out for stamps in the new lineup of stamps which are suitable for water colouring. Usually the best ones for doing this are just outlines, and when I came across this lovely bird I wanted to make something with him. I'm not sure what kind of bird he is(perhaps you can tell me in the comments?) but my husband thinks that it's a Robin and that it looks very 'Chrismassy' and a little out of place for a Birthday card. To be honest, I just wanted to use the bird, and the sentiment was just a default one which I chose... more appropriate for this time of the year... hehehe
As the card design was a simple one, I embossed the bird and small bits with gold embossing powder and added some colours on top to bring him to life. I then fussy-cut out the bird and small bits which was a bit pain to do, especially around the legs of the bird. There is actually a matching die available which is available separately or in a bundle which I now really regret not having bought.
I have a process video start to finish how I created this card. You can watch it here or on YouTube.
Have a fun!
