Stampin Up 2017-2018 Retiring Products Blog Hop

Hello Friends :-)
Thank you for stopping by! Today, I joined a blog hop that host by Janet Wakeland

Today's project is simple cards that used with retiring stamp set and colour that I love.

There are 13 colors(plus 4 colors from 2016-2018 in color) will retire from 1st June.
Gladly, most of them, I didn't really like. so I am happy to welcome new colors.
But there are 5 colors that I am not ready to let go yet.

So I made cards that I love from retiring color list.

Rose Red

Pink Pirouette

Soft Sky

Tempting Turquoise

Marina Mist

I wanted to make a small card 3"x3", So I was looking for a stamp image from retiring stamp set that just fit in 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"
The flower image from "Garden in bloom" was just so perfect for this card.

I've not really use layerd card before, but lately I am in love to use color cardstock layered to make less boring and giving some point.
Measurement
Card base - 3" x 3"
2nd Layer (Color) 2-3/4" x 2-3/4"
1st Layer (White) 2-1/2" x 2-1/2"

If you love the stamp set and colors, make sure grab them before it's gone!

This month's Theme is Wedding

Image may contain: flower and text

Ooooo Love wedding things, [I love pretty things!!!!]

I was going to make a table favor for a chocolate holder.
But.....Guess what....?
We usually have Snacks and Sweeties at home all the time. But James and I are on diet. we've been doing it since Monday. We cut down that stuff and It was raining a lot this week. so I couldn't go shopping............
I was hunting around in my happy place, I found this lip balm that I got for a project. This was all I had to make something for. but I was worried that It is weird to give to guests who come to a wedding, but when I googled it, apparently lots of couples use lip balm for a wedding favor!!

Because It's for a wedding, I wanted to make a box that little more special than normal projects.
So I chose to make a shadow box.

Watercolor effect and calligraphy are trendy, I wanted to use both technics for this project and I am super happy how it turned out!
I used New stamp set called "Make A Difference" which will be available on 1st May.
 I LoveLoveLove this stamp set!

The stamps are solid images, but I stamped on textured cardstock, It looks like distressed look.
I normally restamp, But this distressed look is so perfectly matching with the watercolor background.
So I keep it as is :-)

Measurement

Base cardstock -7-3/8" x 7-3/8"
Score - 3/8", 1-1/8", 1-1/2", 2-1/4" all 4 sides
then, chose 2 sides which opposite each other, add extra score line 2-5/8", 4-3/4" ( I really don't know how to explain, please wait for my process video for this project)

Lid - Window/ Acetate Sheet 2-7/8" x 7-3/4"
Score 1-3/4", 2-1/2", 5-3/8", 6-1/8"

I will add a process video for this card tomorrow, so If you want to see the process, Please come back again!
