This month's Theme is Technique.
My Technique is a watercolor effect from solid stamp images.
I would like to call it "Lazy watercoloring" as All I did was Moving around color within images.
It's Simply Stamped solid images with Our waterbased dye ink on watercolor paper(I used plain white card 250gsm from Papermilldirect), and use the aqua pen to move the color around to make the images smooth.
The good thing about this Technique is, even if make mistakes, It's so acceptable!! :-)
Have you ever feel that suddenly start to like something/ or look so pretty things which someone tells you that they won't be available anymore?
That's how I feel about Stampin up retiring items/products/supplies at the moment, Right now!!!
It is so weird that I've never liked Rose Red and Tangerine Tango color. But now I don't think I can let it go..!! (But I'm sure New color will replace these colors :-D )So I started to challenge my self to use retiring products more before they retire.
The flower image isn't that big enough to use on the Standard card,
so I used 4" x 4" Base and 3-3/4" x 3-3/4" layer cardstock.(Recommend to use Watercolor paper)
I could stop coloring when I stamped the image once, but I wanted to give more interest on the flower and leaves the images, so I used marker pens to give some shade.
After arranging the layout for flower image, The background looked so empty. so I score the Layer cardstock to give some interest.
I filmed a process video to show how to make this card.
