Shadow Box Card | Creating Kindness Blog Hop

Hello, Friends :-)

Thank you for joining us on our Creating Kindness Blog Hop with special guest Heike Hűlle-Bolze.

This month's theme is "Shadow Box Card"

Just being honest, I haven't done any crafting since last month blog hop. (I say that every month, don't I?! lol)
I don't know where my time has gone. The Easter bunny ate my whole 3 weeks!!!
Kids were right next to me 24/7 last whole 3weeks.
I am so glad that the holiday is over.

I love being in this Creating Kindness blog hop group. It's  One of the reasons that It forces to make time to craft which means stop me being crazy. HAHA
Gladly, The theme was eaasy. all I need is to make a shadow box card and deco.
It was super easy to make, took 2mins to die cutting for window and scoring. then started to panic that I have no idea what should I deco it!?

No Time = Punch
"Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Bundle" was the best option for me for this project.
no mess colouring.
5 times Stamping, one punching. now I have 2 coloured butterflies.

Then WHAT!?
I still had no idea. I thought It would be too plain to cover the whole background.
(Now I am thinking that It will look good with few more butterflies covered as well instead of the photo.)

I was staring at the butterflies and scored cardstocks for almost 20mins. couldn't think anything. Time Up! I had to pick up kids and go to GP the whole afternoon.

So Last night after kids went to bed, I started staring them again as I left.

Suddenly, Ping!
Photo Frame!!
I always wanted to send kids photos to In-law's house. But worry that a frame will break or too expensive to send.

This Shadow Box Card is a perfect solution!

It will be good to send by mail!! now I am so excited to send lots of them out!
Also, I can write some message on the back of the card. It's perfect to be a photo frame or greeting card!
Tooooo simple, But Simple is the best, right? I love it so much!!!!
I can imagine making more of them with small time!

***Measurement***
2 x base - 4" x 6"
Scoring - Long side 1/2", 1" each side

Negative die cut space | Creating Kindness Blog Hop

Hello, Friends :-)

Thank you for joining us on our Creating Kindness Blog Hop with special guest Linda van Wely-Zwolle.

This month's Theme is "Negative die cut space"

Until a few months ago, I die/punch cut out on a corner of cardstock so I won't waste any cardstock.

Even if I try so hard to put down the die shape on card stock, there will have waste space left. I felt so bad to throw away even if It so tiny pieces of funky shape card stock that not useful size to do anything.

Therefore I start to die cut on a middle of 4-1/8" x 5-3/4" pre-cut cardstock. It's also a really good way to produce 2 cards in 1.

I could make 2 cards in 1. I wanted to focus on this month's Theme only(also didn't have time to make 2 cards;;;;;;;;;)

Long story short, I had this idea in my head. so my plan was going to bed early, school run then makes few cards in peace.

BUT BUT BUT

BUT BUT BUT

BUT BUT BUT

BUT BUT BUT

BUT BUT BUT

Of course, It never works when I plan well.

My 2nd boy - Jacob 3yrs started Vomiting at 3am...............
almost every 30mins........................................ HA......................
at that time I was more worrying to wash covers. as I've been washing a cover every single day as Jacob started to wee on a bed middle of the night.... he couldn't go to nursery. I started to get stressed. Thankfully, he fell asleep deeply and no more Vomiting. But he could wake up and Vomiting again at any time.

I ran in my room, less than 10mins, I finished die - cutting and stamping(Thank you STAMPARATUS!!!!!)
Then start to hesitate to colour the butterflies. I stamped them directly on a card base, so not so suitable to use watercolour paint or alcohol markers.
I wasn't sure how long would take colouring with watercolour pencils.
also, I wanted to colour them in 1 go.
Then an idea was popped up in my head.
Colour them with alcohol markers on a window sheet?! If I mess with color combo or mistake, I simply wipe it with STAMPIN' BLENDS COLOR LIFTER!!!

But there was a problem that the brush marks had been remain on the window sheet. It bugged me even though It's so small that can't even see!
Used the STAMPIN' BLENDS COLOR LIFTER to remove the marks, I realized that It made a beautiful pattern!
Totally happy accident!
This card was the quickest card that I've ever made!!!!
Do you like it? I like it!!

Simple Birthday card | Stampin up Amazing Life Stamp Set | Creating Kindness Blog Hop

Hello, Friends :-)

Thank you for joining us on our Creating Kindness Blog Hop with special guest Louise Sharp.

This month's Theme is "Birthday"

Since December, I had lots of things happened(my boy became 3, my girl became 5, our first hosted Christmas Eve dinner at our house-urgently cleaning and the tidy house needed!! and lots of COOKING and BAKING involved)
I completely lost my mojo for paper crafting. (also shcool holiday, having kids ages 3, 5 all day shouting and screaming aren't that easy to do something for my self.)

Finally, School Holiday finished, I am getting my mojo back  slowly (placed an order helped me Too :-P)
So the Birthday theme is just perfect for me to slowly getting back on track again.
Last few months, I had some chances to make birthday cards for a male. I tried to make several cards, they all looked girly in the end.

This time I tried to aim to make birthday cards for suitable for anyone.
My plan was to stamp only outline stamps, so It can be for male or female depending colouring.
I remember that I got a free stamp set at November 2018 onstage that called "Amazing Life"
The stamps are just perfect that not too big or small for filling a background.

I started to stamp on white cardstock in black ink, I was going to use watercolour. but It didn't look suitable for a male. so I watched my favourite cardmaker's youtube videos to get inspirations.

I got the inspiration that stamping on coloured cardstock when I saw this beautiful card.
The Key was that stamping black ink on light grey cardstock. I stamped on the smoky slate cardstock and colouring with prismacolor colored pencils.
I am so happy how the cards turned out!

The funny thing was, I left them next to each other on my desk.
Next day morning, My husband was asking me while I was half sleeping If I had a birthday card that already made.
I said there was one for male and one for female.  and back to sleep again.
after school run, I was checking my desk.
Guess what!?
I had only blue one left alone on my desk! haha my husband took a pink one for his colleague!!
(He said my room was dark so didn't really look - Defo man look lol)
so I relised that IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT COLOUR I USED,
The matter is I need to stock up birthday cards more :-)
Hope you like my cards :-)
I've filmed a process video to show how to make this card.
